| The medial collateral ligament (MCL) complex provides valgus stability to the knee. The most ideal testing position for injuries to this complex is at 30°. It is at this position that this complex is most isolated. Testing for stability of this complex is also performed at 0°. Instability in full extension is indicative of a combined cruciate(s) ligament injury. | |||||||||||||
